New Leader Info

Thank you for volunteering to be a Leader of the Pack!

Getting Started

  1. If you are already connected to Scoutbook as a parent, find and remember your BSA ID

If you don't have a Scoutbook account yet, skip to step 2.

  1. Log in or register for an account at https://my.scouting.org/

  2. Register as a Leader in our Pack, and pay the registration fee

    • Go to the registration site and register as a new Leader in Pack 9060

Make sure to fill in the following information based on the info above

  • BSA ID

  • Youth Protection Training Date

  1. Go to the Scout Shop to get outfitted with a uniform shirt, and the necessary patches for your volunteer position

  2. Consider registering for the University of Scouting (HIGHLY Recommended) and attend sessions related to your volunteer position


Once all of this is complete, please let the Committee Chair (cchair@pack9060.org) and Cubmaster (cubmaster@pack9060.org) know.

Den Leader Expectations:

  • Stay current on required trainings

  • Organize 1-2 Den Meetings per month

    • One meeting should be to go over requirements in the book, earning progress toward the current rank

    • The other meeting should be some type of outing/gathering to have fun and hopefully reinforce topics that have been discussed (ex: fire station or museum visit, etc.)

  • Encourage parental involvement in Den and Pack activities

  • Attend and encourage Den attendance at monthly Pack Meetings

  • Attend and encourage Den attendance at monthly Pack Events

  • Attend monthly Committee/Leadership planning meetings.

  • Recommended to Attend - Monthly Roundtable Meetings with other Scouters from the greater Washington County area.

Committee Member Expectations:

  • Attend monthly Committee/Leadership planning meetings

  • Make suggestions to improve our annual Scouting plan.

  • Help out at Pack Meetings and Pack Events as able
